The 2020 Sitges Film Festival kicks off and Aura Garrido and Juana Acosta eclipse the first day of the red carpet

Fantasy film fans are in luck. Despite the difficult times the world of culture is going through, the Sitges Film Festival has been stronger than the circumstances and yesterday it premiered its 53rd edition. The acclaimed competition proposes 11 days in which 254 works (among films, short films and documentaries) can be admired in hybrid form. Some of the works can be enjoyed on the premises -with all the security measures in place- while the Festival’s online Virtual Room gives us the opportunity to enjoy it from home. The opening of the event took place yesterday and Aura Garrido and Juana Acosta became the stars of the red carpet at night.

Bitches was one of the most eagerly awaited films and was released yesterday to open the Festival. Javier Ruiz Caldera, Alberto de Toro, Miki Esparbé and Aura Garrido are its main faces. The actress from Madrid chose a midi dress in romantic gothic style in black signed by Dior. The body stands out for its shirt collar, central puckering and transparent fabric. As complements, several rings in gold and a matching necklace. Garrido looked beautiful thanks to a bob with bangs and a few bright red lips which was accompanied by a manicure of the same shade.

On his side, Juana Acosta is one of the members of the jury of this edition of the Sitges Film Festival and its outfit for the first day was at the level of the occasion. Thanks to an imposing Elie Saab shirt with rhinestone applications, feathers on the sleeves and an XXL ribbon, the garment hardly needed a partner to shine. To top off the look, a black pair of tweezers and matching classic salons. The beauty of the outfit is accompanied by an elegant bow. To the lips, a flattering shade of red.

We bid farewell to the 2020 San Sebastian Film Festival with a red carpet at the closing ceremony where Ester Expósito was the most outstanding

The 2020 San Sebastian Film Festival has come to an end. One of the most important events in our country has experienced a particularly unique edition as it was held without an audience. The Covid-19 has not allowed the level to drop to a cinematographic level and films such as The summer we lived have been presented during these days. After several days full of the seventh art, We say goodbye to the recent edition with a red carpet that has had a clear protagonist: Ester Expósito.

San Sebastian Film Festival 2020: all the looks on the red carpet

    Ester Expósito

The young actress has been the epicentre of all attention. Sensual, elegant and simply spectacular, This is how Ester Expósito posed in front of the cameras with a sophisticated black Dolce &amp suit; Gabanna, Bvlgari jewelry and a beautiful makeup starring imposing red lips.

Blanca Suárez and Javier Rey revolutionize the red carpet of the San Sebastian Festival. This is how the looks of all the guests have been

    Belen Cuesta

    Dl U465688 024

Belén Cuesta didn’t get it right this time. The actress has opted for the union of black and white in a set of long skirt, tight ballerina style top and a two-tone blazer.

    Ana Fernandez

    Dl U465688 026

As if it were the Oscars, Ana Fernandez has opted for a classic mermaid-cut long dress in gold tones. The design fits you like a glove, but we believe that there is a lack of character in the choice.

    Katherine Waterston

    Dl U465688 033

Simple but sophisticated, Katherine Waterston has proven that black never fails. Gabriela Hearst is the creator of this timeless dress that stands out thanks to its chain straps.

    Najwa Nimri

    Dl U465688 028Najwa Nimri

The actress Najwa Nimri has shown her original style. Thanks to a combo of long skirt and crossover jacket she has the prize for the most original of the evening. At your feet, black sandals with matching pedicures.

    Alexander Speitzerat

    Dl U465688 005

Alejandro Speitzer is one of the fashionable names of the moment and his choice of style has been one of the most applauded. The young man has left aside the classic black to bet on a brick-colored suit signed by Boss.

    Tamar Novas

    Dl U465688 021

Traditional but with a touch casual. Tamar Novas has walked the red carpet with a black suit that has been accompanied by a basic gray T-shirta low-risk but effective choice.

María Pedraza dazzles with an XL ponytail and powerful make-up at the 2020 San Sebastian Film Festival

    Javier Cámara

Finally, Javier Cámara. The iconic actor has chosen a classic navy blue pinstripe suit. The shirt and tie match to create a overall look very elegant.

The red carpet that could be the Oscars has taken place in Monaco. We went over the looks of the evening

Montecarlo recovers its characteristic splendour thanks to the Gala for the Health of the Planet held last night at the Casino, one of the most emblematic points of the city. With solidarity purposes dedicated to various initiatives of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation (which was created in 2006 to protect the environment and promote sustainable development at the national and international level), the event has allowed us see Charlène and Albert of Monaco in action again on a red carpet together. Although the presence of the princes has been noticeable, the selection of guests has not been left behind: Johnny Depp, Hellen Mirren, Sienna Miller, Sting or Kate Beckinsale. We went through the looks that shone last night in Monte Carlo.

2020 Emmy Awards: the red carpet goes virtual and celebrities choose the best looks from their homes

    Charlène and Albert of Monaco

    Dl U465578 046

The hosts rose to the occasion and much of the attention of the event was condensed. Charlène looked spectacular with a raised sequin design signed by Jenny Packham. A long dress with a v-neck that enhanced her beautiful figure. As accessories, a ring and the Italian house Repossi. The red lips were the epicenter of the makeup and the hair style of the 1920s was a success. For his part, Prince Albert opted for a classic black suit with a bottle green bow tie. Simple but effective.

    Johnny Depp

    Dl U465578 022

Newly arrived from the San Sebastian Festival, Johnny Depp shows that the years are good for him. Although his style does not stand out as being particularly original, the suit fits him like a glove and accompanies perfectly the many silver rings that dress his hand.

    Helen Miren

    Dl U465578 033

Simple yet elegant, the actress was one of the best dressed in the gala with a bottle green mermaid cut model with a flattering center pucker signed by Dolce & Gabbana. A choice that has been accompanied by a matching mask, a stylistic detail to be taken into account at this time.

Fendi, Alberta Ferretti, Dolce & Gabbana and Blumarine: the best of the first day of Milan Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2021

    Kate Beckinsale

    Dl U465578 035

Spectacular, little else we can say about Kate Beckinsale’s choice. Georges Chakra is the architect of this beautiful design in white and gold sequins that fits the figure of the actress and that shines thanks to a side layer that comes from the left shoulder. Like Mirren, Beckinsale has worn a matching mask.

    Sienna Miller

    Dl U465578 108

Black velvet is a safe bet on any red carpet, and Sienna Miller has proven it. With a design signed by Gucci, the actress has made it clear that she needs little artifice to shine in every appearance. The most remarkable detail on this occasion is a beautiful clutch with a floral print.

    Maisie Williams and Reuben Selby

    Dl U465578 112

The young couple deserve the prize for the greatest dose of originality without falling into disaster. With a delicate design with transparencies and embroideriesWilliams confirms that his style is personal and very characteristic. Selby, on the other hand, has gone out of his way to stand out with a checkered suit. Both of them, with black masks.

Maisie Williams changes her look and bets on one of the most risky and trendy haircuts of the moment

    Rebel Wilson and Jacob Busch

    Dl U465578 069

Rebel Wilson is not particularly prominent in her fashion appearances and this time she has followed this pattern. Together with her new partner Jacob Brusch, the actress has stepped into Monaco with a boat neck design made of a metallic effect fabric. Again, a bad choice.

    Leona Lewis

    Dl U465578 013

Leona Lewis’ beauty is undeniable and its prominent curves have been given a special glow by a mermaid cut design and gold weave. The neckline is flattering and the sleeves are original, a well-deserved “A”.

    Pauline Ducruet

    Dl U465578 065

The niece of Prince Albert II of Monaco was the only guest to opt for the ruby-dyed two-piece suit. Pauline Ducruet argues that you don’t have to wear a long dress to stand out on a red carpet. So, she has shone with a straight-cut, high-waisted pant and a blazer oversized.

The 2020 Emmy Awards have been one of the few of the year that have not been cancelled. That hasn’t stopped the celebrities boast about the styles on this much-desired (and homemade) red carpet. • their dresses, their style and the series in which they come out

their dresses, their style and the series in which they come out

Last night was the strangest gala in the history of the Emmys, and all because of the Covid-19 pandemic. With a red carpet rolled out from the RRSS and nominees waiting in their living rooms, the gala looks did not disappoint. Zendaya y Regina King were two of the evening’s favourites and their styles knocked out the staff (and no wonder). Here is the list of the 2020 Emmy winners.

2020 Emmy Awards: the red carpet goes virtual and celebrities choose the best looks from their homes

Cherry Jones: best guest actress in a dramatic series

Where we can see it: Succession is the story of a dysfunctional family that owns an entertainment and media empire. Presented by HBO, this drama has a growing following.

    Emmy 2020 Cherry Jones

That’s what he wore to the galaCherry Jones opted for the more classic and versatile simplicity and wore a white shirt with a raised collar.

    Catherine O’Hara: best comedy actress

Where we can see itThe Emmy: You’ll find her in Schitt’s Creek, the favorite series of the 2020 Emmys, which won seven of the nine statuettes for which it was nominated. Although this series was filmed in 2015, it wasn’t until it appeared on Netflix that it caused a stir among the population.

That’s what he wore to the galaBlack is a classic color that brings elegance and distinction. Catherine O’Hara knows this and last night she shone with her own light thanks to her Valentino design. The sequins in the sleeve area added texture and originality with very little, although the choice of footwear threw us a little bit backwards.

Zendaya: best actress in a dramatic series

Where we can see itAlthough we can see Zendaya in many films, the 2020 Emmy Award for Best Leading Actress went to her for her role in Euphoria. The HBO series continues to cause a stir – and not just because of its aesthetics.

That’s what he wore to the galaWhy choose one look when you can come up with two? Zendaya loves her personality, her beauty and her style, and last night she broke hearts again with her styles signed by Christopher John Rogers and Armani Privé. Both options bordered on perfection (literally).

Annie Murphy: best supporting actress in comedy

Where we can see itYou may not know who this actress is if you haven’t seen Schitt’s Creek before. By playing a repellent posh role, the actress has defended her character and made it one of the must-haves.

That’s what he wore to the galaLike her co-star in the series (Catherine O’Hara), Annie Murphy chose black and Valentino for her look last night. Once again, the choice of footwear was the talk of the town, as the actress put on her sneakers to complement the final styling.

Julia Garner: best supporting actress in a dramatic series

Where we can see itJulia Garner: If you haven’t seen Ozark yet and are looking for an excuse to get into it, Julia Garner’s role can be perfect. You’ll find her on Netflix.

That’s what he wore to the galaThe actress fell in love with her personality dressed in Chanel with a vintage look. With a broken white color and pearls as protagonists, this style did not go unnoticed.

Regina King: best actress in a mini-series or TV movie

Where we can see itIf you have HBO you can enjoy Regina King and her role in Watchmen like Angela Abar.

That’s what he wore to the galaVibrant blue, Regina King fell in love (literally) with her full-blown Schiaparelli design. The jewelry applications as well as the asymmetries made this style epic and one of the evening’s favorites.

Uzo Aduba: best supporting actress in a mini-series or TV movie

Where we can see itHBO has won us over by introducing Mrs. America, a series that tells the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment and the unexpected consequences that changed the U.S. political landscape forever.

That’s what he wore to the galaUzo: Wearing a simple black T-shirt with Breonna Taylor’s name on it, Uzo wanted to give voice to racial injustice and recalled the death of the 26-year-old emergency technician in her home at the hands of three police officers (she had committed no crime).

Maria Schrader: best director in a mini-series or television film

Where we can see itToday Unorthodox has been one of the most talked about mini-series on the Netflix platform. The great work of direction, aesthetics and plot have made Maria Schrader to be crowned as the best Director in mini-series or TV movie.

That’s what he wore to the galaExtreme elegance with very little, here is the style of the director who chose a black tuxedo type suit.

Maya Rudolph: best guest actress in a comedy

Where we can see itMaya Rudolph had it easier than the rest of her teammates to win. Last night she was nominated twice for best guest actress in a comedy for her role in Saturday Night Live y The Good Place. SNL it lasts over the years, and no wonder. Throughout its history, it has left us with unforgettable moments (and let’s hope it will continue to do so).

    Emmy 2020 Maya Rudolp

That’s what he wore to the galaWith a simple flowery blouse, Maya captivated by her simplicity and personality.

The 2020 San Sebastian Festival begins. The 68th edition is going to be different, as was the case with the Venice Film Festival, an event without an audience but with stars and many films. From today until the 26th of September, we will see the parade on the red carpet at celebrities with their best (and probably worst) looks.

This edition has started with Rifkin’s Festival, the new Woody Allen film, an out-of-competition film shot in the capital of San Sebastian. For the red carpet we’ve seen some very sophisticated dresses, but as usual, there’s been some skidding too.
